Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - MaTech BUIS - what are the numbers for?

Hi All...

Back when I was in the Army, we had our M16A2 with the permenantly mounted carry handle and sights and never knew anything about optics or BUIS and such.  No night vision scopes or anything like that either.  So I missed out on the good toys!

So I'm wondering what this MaTech BUIS can do.  I see it has a knor with markings that appear to allow the shooter to set the range of the target.  Does this adjust the ars of the round?
