On my new Nightforce 2.5-10 NXS when I turn on the reticle illumination there are three vertical lines and one horizontal. Is this normal?

Anyone?

The horizontal illuminated line is where it should be but the central vertical has duplicate lines parallel to it.

Look at the tacked reticle pictures thread in this forum...there is an illuminated picture of an NXS in there.  May not be the same reticle as yours, but you can at least see that one.

Thanks chargedmr2; that pic is a NPR2 reticle, I have a MilDot. It might look different illuminated.

Over a hundred people have looked at this thread as of now; anyone have a 2.5-10X MilDot?

D'oh!

I just tried it out again. When I looked through it with my right eye same story, but with my left eye it was OK. I have always thought I have an astigmatism in my right eye; I guess it is worse than I knew. My Aimpoint reticle looks like a star instead of a dot.

Off the topic (if that is possible, since this is my thread) but is an astigmatism correctible by Glasses or surgery? This sucks.

Look at my post here:

I was/am seeing a double image as shown in the last picture, but when I remove my contacts and put my glasses on the double image goes away.  I have an astigmatism too.  I am damning my parents for that!
