i am in the process of building a ar15 flattop with a noveske 24'' bull barrel on it. i want a scope with variable power at least to 18..i do not know much about powered scopes as my past shooting has been done with red dots or open sights. can you clue me into some good ones at up to $700.00?  thanks

If you going out for varmint you might looking at the Burris Fullfield II - 4.5X-14X-42mm Fullfield II LRS.

Looked through one on a friend 300 WSM and the Ballistic Plex illuminated reticle really looks good.
