I was just looking through the SHOT show pictures in the amory here and saw the pic of the new Elcan 1-4x scope. It looks really slick I was wondering if anyone had any more information on it, like price or ship date. Does it have an illuminated reticle? If so is it tritium or battery powered?

Thanx in advance.

well, it's multi-power but, damn, we'd have to be talkin' 'bout one motherfuckin' charmin' optic!  it'd have to be the cary grant of optics!

For that price, it better say "Bad Motherfucker" on the box too.

Personally, I don't care for the external adjustments.  I'd rather have an EOtech 553 w/ magnifier if it ever comes out.  No worries of eye relief with the EO either.

I just don't see it.
This thing isn't going into space or 20,000 leagues under the fucking sea.
ACOGs, Aimpoints and EOTechs have proven to be very rugged, reliable optics.
I can't see spending much more than $800 for an optic, even if it's built like a tank.
Of course, the goobermint has tons of money to throw around.

At that price I'd just as soon have an ACOG.

IIRC, it has a red dot type reticle for 1-4x, which is a genius idea. Id pay the dough over something with fixed magnification

its got some of the best optics in the world, variable power, built to super tight tolerances, and can take a serious beating.  I dont think they're making a huge profit on these things

It can't be two or three times as good as the ACOG, can it?

Oh man, that sight is expensive, cost more than my gun.

Some of you guys are better equipment than the USA military.

Concur except for the last point.  Acdtually, budgets will be contracting (no pun intended) in the coming years -- especially for the less-than-sexy stuff like small arms related equipment.  This product will most likely not make the cut.

It would compete with the new Dr Optic equipped ACOG.

NOTE THE PRICE OF THE DIRECT ACOG COMPETITOR...

You guys talking about the ACOG being 2-3 times less are off in left field.
