I was wondering what the purpose of mounting a sight on top of an ACOG was? I see all these pictures of people with sights such a JPoint or similar mounted atop their ACOG or something like a ghostring and a blade sight on the front of the ACOG. What is the purpose of this?

This gives you a CQB capability that the ACOG lacks.

As an FYI, Trijicon is going to release package deals with a TA31DOC and a TA01NSN with a DR Optic on top direct from the factory.

What's the dope on the 31DOT? Are they putting a dot reticle in place of the chevron?

Is there a difference between the 31DOT and the 31DOC or was that a typo?
