Hey guys.  I'm looking for a scope under $100 for my 10/22.  I'm going to put a .920 barrel on it and want the scope to shoot as good as the barrel.  I would like something adjustable from 4x up to whatever is possible.  Here are a couple of options I've seen.

Simmons Prairie Master 4-16X40

Tasco 2.5-10x42 Target / Varmint

Simmons 44 mag 4-12x44

this would probably be better in the 10/22 forum

eklikwhoa,

I actually thought about that too, but I figured this is the only optics section on the site and the question matches optics moreso than 10/22.  I'm not asking so much as to the compatibility to the 10/22.  I'd rather know which one is better quality.

Thanks,
Clint

Just make sure it is Fully Multi coated what ever scope you get!

I did the same thing  under 100 buck and get the best

I ended up with Bushnell Scope Chief  3.5 x10x 42  AOS Fully multi coated  paid 70 or 80 bucks
the scope is great!  They dont make it still but theres places that still have it in stock!
I feel for the Price its hard to beat! I like the Green coatings as well?

I also have a Savage 222rem with a Wal mart Simmons 3x9x40 35 bucks   and I can shoot 1 inch groups at 2oo yards!!  and at 100 yrds  1/4 inch all day long!

I dont think you need to spend 900 bucks to shoot good!

I picked up a Simmons 3-9x42 at Wal-Mart for $49, and put it on his Marlin 39a .22 lever gun.  I has truned out to be a surprsingly nice scope, no regrets.

eklikwhoa, thanks for the sweet pic.  Is that your gun?  I've decided to go with the 44 mag 6.5-20 with the target turrets.  They have a great deal at natchez for 99.95.  Everywhere else has them for over 150.  The only bad thing is that they don't have any sun shades available for it.  Does anyone know where I could get one?

Thanks for your input,
Clint

yeah thats my peashooter.

try looking for the sunshade at midwayusa, thats what i had to do as well and for rings i rec. the burris signature zees and the ring insert kit.

i have a problem with elevation on mine and had to use the offset inserts, they also lock up secure and dont mar the scope any.

On my 20 inch AR, I have a 6-24x42 tasco. It's an awesome scope, and I think they sell for somewhere in the area of 90 bux. although that might be a bit too much scope for a .22. I know my mauser originally had a simmons 8 point 4x32 that is now on my remington 597, and its a perfect match for the gun.
