Been looking for alternative ways to mount my Aimpoint 5000 apart from the norm and came across this on ranierarms.com:

This would allow the use of the iron sights without the optic getting in the way.
Thoughts anyone? Zeroing the Aimpoint will be a bit more involved, and it will expose the Aimpoint to more physical damage being set off to the side like that.
