Hello and as always thanks for looking.

I was curious if any of you use the laser type boresighters for your AR's and if so, which ones and would you recommend them?

Thanks,

Cavu

Use the poor man's boresight.  Separate the upper from the lower. Remove carrier and bolt. Place upper on a solid surface and sight through the barrel at some distant "target". Check iron sights for alignment. Adjust. Repeat as necessary.

This will get you on paper at 50 yards. Sometimes at 100 yards but I always check at 50 since it's never failed me there.

I bought a laser boresighter, but I think I dropped it on the ground one too many times trying to get it into the bore at the range, and it now projects more of a 1" X 3" blur than a dot, so I am going to take your advice.  Thanks!
