I've got Aimpoints with both size dots and could go either way. If I'm using the magnifier, I prefer the 2 MOA dot but the 4 MOA dot isn't that bad with it. The 2 MOA makes it easier for me to be a bit more precise when using the magnifier.

I have no intentions of replacing my 4 MOA M2s with 2 MOA M3s.

Out to 40 yards or so, do you pick up the 2 MOA dot as easily as the 4 MOA dot?

Does the 2 MOA give you extended range for making hits due to it's increased precision?  If so, what wasa your max with the 4 MOA and what is the new max with the 2 MOA?

of course it will give you more precision...how much more is really related to how good of a shooter you are. If you can hit a dime at 600 yards then obviously the 4moa would limit you and the 2moa would be better. But most of us cant shoot that well so it really doesnt matter

I had a ML2 on my M4 previously, needed a aimpoint for my 9mm so I got a 2MOA ML3 and put that on my M4 to put the ML2 on the 9mm.  I like the 2moa dot, don’t feel I lost any speed up close and I do a lot of plinking on 8-10” steel plates at 200 yards and it makes it much easier to holt on target since I’m not completely covering it with the dot.

More precise, easier to use with the 3x magnifier and if I need it up close I just turn it up brighter, best of all worlds

I really don't notice the difference in dot size at short (50 yds or less) range. Once I get out to 100 yds, the dot size starts becoming more apparent.

I like my ML2 but wanted to shoot more percise?

SO I thought the 1moa EOTECH would fill my bill?

Then I found out about M3 and 2moa!

There is more mounts for M3 than EOTECH!

I dont know what to do?

This Sight will sit on a M4 Flat top.  M3 w/ 2moa OR Eotech
Since I already have a ML2 I was leaning towards Eotech even though I hate mounting options.

It all boils down to what you prefer, I dont like the Eotech, Because I think the ret is 2 busy with the Large 65MOA ring. I do though understand the concept and why some like it, I simply do not.

The 2MOA ML3 is my choice and Of course I will Only use a  LARUE Mount. (Nothing better). And hey if my 50,000 Hr battery life dies out, I have a second battery in the spare battery compartment underneith
