They seem very durable and a bit heavy. They are the current Army issue rails for the M16 and M4. Very pricey though, something near $300 MSRP. Almost certainly guaranteed to be .mil spec though.
I've only used the rifle length version on my M16A4 for any length of time. I only had the M4 for a little while before I was assigned the A4. |

They are terrrific
1. they are incredibly durable 2. They can be installed without tools 3. some models are free float 4. Our soldiers use them Hard to beat, in spite of 5 or 6 newer offerings available from other makers. |
