Hey Guys,
I'm looking to finally put a rear BUIS on my carbine, and I'm pretty sure
I'm going to use the ARMS #40 sight. Is there any advantage towards using
the Swan Sleeve with the integral #40 sight, other than not needing the spacer
underneath my Aimpoint? I like the look of the Extended rail, which would
allow me to move the Aimpoint further forward.
Also, is it possible to get the Swan Sleeve with the Same Plane aperature?
Opinions....Pictures ????

As for an advantage? No not really.

I have a #38, and the only reason I got it was that it was cheaper than a stand alone #40.

They often go for sale in the EE for $75...

The #38-EX works great for mounting an Aimpoint using the A.R.M.S. Comp II/M68 mount.

forward mounted optics move the sight away from your eye.  the reason for that is you have smaller blind spots caused by the sight.
