I just bought a trijicon Accupoint in 1.25-4 for x-mas for ME

First time owning a scope with a reticle like this.

So, I have a question--
How do you properly sight in the scope.
Do you use the triangle like an aimpoint dot and cover the target ? or do you sight in by putting the Point of Impact on top of the triangle -- Target on top of the triangle?

I use the apex of the triangle for "accurate" shooting.
At CQB distances I use the whole triangle like a dot sight
Of course also depends on the gun/cartridge how much difference there is in POI and at what distances, mine is on a G3.

Zero the tip at whatever distance you feel will be most useful. Use the entire triangle for cqb and the tip for precision at known distances.

cool guys, thanks for the info.
I'm going to use the apex to sight in @100 yrds and use the whole triangle for close
