Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Good all round variable scope for hunting and such...

I'm looking for a good scope to do some hunting with this season.

Most of my shots will be at about 100-150 yards and I will be hunting whitetail in the Texas Hill country.  I really like the Super Sniper but I think it may be a bit too much for what I am looking to do.

Any suggestions out there from you AR hunters?  Also whats a good ammo to use?  Any help would be great.
