I currently have an ARMS 45 with ARMS 40 rear sight.  Thinking of going with a Eotech, now my questions is, will I still be able to use the ARMS 40 with the Eotech mounted on the ARMS 45 or would I have to remove the Eotech?  Not interested in co-witnessing, I like having the reticle above the sights, I just want to be able to use the rear sight without having to remove the Eotech.

Na, you will have to remove the eotech to see the iron sights.
