I just installed my M3 aimpoint and magnifier.  The rubber condom thingy is really gay.  It protects parts of the optic that wont be damaged anyway.  And it stinks something fierce.

I use the coyote tan one on mine to help break up the weapon's silhouette; haven't grown the balls to paint a $3k weapon yet.
