Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Aimpoint question (M Vs. M2)

To all of our Aimpoint guru's out there, what is the difference?  Do all the accessories that fit the M2 fit the M series (i.e. battery doubler).  I just bought a Comp M, and have had a M2, I really don't notice any difference.  I'm going to assume that it probably is an upgrade on battery life?

The M is a two peice body the M2 is a one peice. All the parts fit both models.
