I am thinking about getting an ACOG for my 6920.  I am not sure whether or not to get a compact or a fullsize.  Is it true that the compacts are more of a compromise and are better for CQB?  Would a 3x magnifiation be recommended for a compact model?


Also, I want to mount it on the carrying handle and not on the flat-top.  Is there any reason I should be warry of mounting it on a removable carrying handle?  

What model compact acog is made for 16 inch barrel mounted on carrying handle?



I know that people are going to say I will have to try them out because some of this is personal preference.  I just want to hear your thoughts.

Well, first off, you should look at this forum up and down, and click the FAQ. There are many ACOG related topics that would help you. Secondly, I like the compact ACOG series. I have owned all 3 magnifications, and I think the 2x is the best. The compact acogs work superbly on a carry handle.

TA31 on the carry handle of my 6920. Works for me.

for the carry handle i like the compact acogs in 2x but if possible i would go with the ta31 series mounted to the flattop.
