Well it looks like I finially took the plunge and put a RRA tactical entry in layaway . This will be my first AR so I am sure I will have alot to learn . I would like some input on what acc. would be most needed as in optics- and iron sights, slings , and anything else that is nice to have. Thanks in advance for the replies and I am glad to be on the boards here

Do yourself a favor and learn to shoot and become proficient with your irons first.   Regardless of what optic you choose down the road, that optic could fail leaving your irons as your only way to shoot.  Once you've got the iron sights down, then you can make a decision based on the type of shooting you plan on doing.  You will get more than enough input from members here to take care of all your shooting needs.


For now, I would spend my money on mags and plenty of ammo.  Now get out there and start throwing some rounds down range
