SWFA. They are selling the CQB reticule for $2100ish. List is $2250. You can probably find it for a little less if you look very hard.

there was another place someone mentioned for around 1900-1800

I found a guy on Tactical Forums that sells them for 1930.00; but they are on backorder.
I thought I read that someone found them in the 1600.00 range but I can't find that price anywhere.

Not sure what the US dealer price is but my guess is if it is selling for $1600 you might be looking at stolen or redirected US Gov't property.

I know what the Gov't cost it in qualities below 100 (not sure if they give a break above it either)

Why does the Short Dot come with swapable cams and no zero stop or zero stop and non swapable cams?  Why not have both?  Do they cost differnt prices for the variants?

Becuase their are two versions of the S&B CQB Short Dot. A GenI and a GenII.
