I like them both but prefer lighter weight...
BTW that is a great price if NIB...or even in excellent condition....

If you're looking into the Accupoint, the Sample list over at SWFA had 2 of them for $399 a while back...both counter top demos....looked brand new.  I know one got sold, but the other one might still be available.  Were it not for my budget woes these days, it would have been mine the second I spotted it.

The Accupoint is a great scope, but to do it justice, you'll need the Larue EER mount, and that's another $215.

You might want to check out the Bushmaster offerings.  They have a forward mount rail for around $40.  Admittedly, it's overall inferior to the LaRue in terms of how it mounts and dismounts, but if you just want to throw it on a rail and leave it there, it will do the job.

Thanks guys I went with a Leupold 1.5-5 power illuminated Circile dot for 489.00 on Gunbroker. I am looking into the larue mount now thanks again for the help. You guys are great. Now I will see how well my idea works. Hopefully the mounts retain 0 after dismount and mounting.

I can't find the EE version listed on Larue's site. The other link provided has them but not with 1 inch rings. Anywhere else to look. Larue's site did have a standard mount for the Colt will this work or do I need the extended eye relief mount. Thanks again.

Isn't Trijicon running a promotion where you get a $50 rebate if you purchase an accupoint scope from a dealer?

That would make it an even better deal.
