Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Front sight ahead of the gas port?

Has anyone ever offered a front sight that mounts ahead of the regular FSB/gas port location (like on an AK)?  I'm thinking of something for use with a shaved FSB to extend the sight radius.  The benefits would be a longer sight radius that would work better for some folks.

It's standard on dissipators (lo pro gas block under the handguards) and on long range iron sighted match ARs.

ETA: Measure your barrel where you want to attach it and buy the appropriate one. Thats the easy part. Then someone has to drill the barrel and install it.
