The story, at least as far as I know it, is that the Colt front sight base is in fact a little taller than everyone elses. The problem is, Bushmaster, who has *NO* military contracts, is telling people that Colt, who not only invented the M4, but has the *EXCLUSIVE* military contract for the M4, has an out of spec front sight base. Yes, the Colt's is different than everyone elses, but it is the Colt's that is in fact in spec.
What does this amount to in so far as function and quality. Not a whole lot, if anything at all. I dont know if the difference in the front sight's height will amount to anything between the carry handles. I dont think so, but I dont know. But it is too bad Bushmaster worded things the way they did. It's just *ANOTHER* misuse of the term "mil-spec".
