Its going on a sixteen inch A3 upper. The rifle is going to be a banger\trunk gun so that is why I want a scope that can take some abuse.
A compact acog would probably still be too much money. If I can keep it in the aimpoint or lower price range I would be happy. I dont think I will be shooting much past 300-500 yards. |

how about just a good ole Aimpoint?? it is sufficent for 300m shots.
www.riflescopes.com/products/201311/burris_4x20_short_mag_rifle_scope.htm try this, I know someone is running this on his Mini14 with good result.. pretty rugged since he keep it in the back of his seat on the truck. with a decent mount, you are about 300 dollars. I would recommand this: www.riflescopes.com/products/LEU56725/leupold_1-4x20_vx-ii_riflescope.htm with a nice mount you are about 400 dollars into the deal. if you have extra, get the illuminated version. none of them are ACOG, but they will do the job for the price. |
