Food for thought. ARMS invented the throw levers many years ago, anyone that invents something normally holds a copyright on the trade name too. I can see why they do, with all the people that wish they could use somone elses inventive R&D success. Just pisses some off, that they can't legitimatly use somone elses Reg. trade name to make money too. If ARMS hadn't invented the throw lever, the name prob. wouldn't be around either.

Maybe so, but combine it with one of these...

... and you now have a neat quick release optic!

Is Swan/ARMS really going to trade mark the word "Throwlever"????

Are things that tough at ARMS?

I think I am going to trademark "Magazine" or "Optic"

That's like when Donald Trump tried to trademark the words "Your Fired!"

Michael Buffer was able to do it with "lets get ready to rumble!!!!!"

I guess if window locks are the same, you could steal them from the windows and attach an optic to a weapon, let us know how it comes out. It will prob. turn into a real pain.

Anything is possible with the proper application of Duct-Tape.

My parents house has Anderson windows.

Next time I'm over there I'll have to look thru them and see if I can see any iron sights.

ARMS sure did invent something, eh??

Evidently they sure did. We all see the various companies that build optics, laser, lights, stc. using them. Lets notot forget the Gov't, militaries of many countries we have seen with them in the various wars. Oh, lets not forget the patent office, how familiar are they with your design knowledge?  Did Swan invent something recognized as different and worthwhile, lets see beyond the above, how about the knock-offs from here to China, guess that takes care of the wish I had crowd.  Wouldn't you just love to invent something, or are you just one of those smart guys with all the inventions that you are just keeping secret, With all the remarks about various companies and people, you must be an expert on inventions, tell us about your larest money making invention, maybe we can all learn from you rather than these companies you attack.
There are many inventors and products many have given us the pleasure to obtain. What area of excelence have you provided anything for, in a given field?
Did you invent any ammo type we might be using?
How about a nice weapon system we can buy shoot and enjoy?
Maybe a nice powerfull and rugged white light of some type?
You choose the field you have excelled at, and offered a product that we can buy from your company, like we do from the others. I search under your name at the patent office, Google, Yahoo, and they must have mis placed your valuble contributions to the world of patents and trade marks.

I suspect that you realy excell at not much but mouth.

Speaking of new ARMS stuff coming out

When can we expect the 'Same Plane SIR'?????
(this is a serious question, for once I am not being a smart ass)

They have had same plane SIR sytems for quite a few years, and they are convertible to bi-level, ot vise versa.

Honestly, ARMS introduced a great product, but it has since been perfected. I think ARMS has to come out with something new and inovative to catch up.

The trade mark is for the mount with a throw lever not a window mounted throw lever. We have trade marks on gold cable but there is cable made all ready for commercial use like lifting and pulling, but are is GOLD so we have a trade mark on it. We have trade marks on fishing swivels that are gold and we have them on the quick release shackles you see on these single point slings that BHI makes but made out of GOLD. We have been threw law suits that came back around and bit the other guys in the ass too. Some people just hate ARMS and some dont. Ford versus Chevy it is all the same. So why not trade mark it I would. This is how business is done. The trade mark or copy right for the throw lever in general  ran out a long time ago. It just like the AR trade mark-copy rights that Armalite first had then sold to to Colt, then it died and now manufactures are building Ar's .
