4MOA are definitely the best standalone reticle for the Aimpoint, but the 2MOA is build so you can run the magnifier.

i've heard that the 2moa is more precesise... and allows for better head shots at longer distances... however you can crank up the brightness and its almost the size of the full 4moa dot anyways...
i'm thinking about moving toward the 2moa dot... but i hope i can see through it... |

The 2 MOA is the ONLY way to fly. The reason is simple. The 2MOA gives you both accuracy and speed. If you are running CQB and need a bigger dot you simply turn up the intensity setting (making the dot bloom). I do not stock the ML3/M3 in 4MOA configuration as it is a waste of money IMHO. If you want a 4MOA dot then buy a ML2/M2 and save some money!

I have tried the EO Tech. Fast, awsome fast. For me, I tend to use the circle then squeeze. Difficult for me to find the dot though. Old eyes. I tried the 2moa Aimpoint and found I had to turn up the lamp to excess to find it easily. I would like to see the 4moa. Aimpoint.

I tend to agree with Mike there.... turning up the brightness might be a quick fix but if that really works, why does Aimpoint still make the 4MOA?? the spike on the brightness is not true and it can affect accuracy in longer ranges... sometimes you just don't have the time to fiddling with the knob no matter how fast peeps tell you you can adjust it. uncle murphy is always around that corner to make sure you turn the darn thing off. |

I've only used the 4 MOA, but my next one will be the 2 MOA. I don't need a big dot, but a smaller one would help at a distance.

The reason why Aimpoint makes the 4MOA is because some people like it (no doubt). I was just explaining that you lose the accuracy that the 2MOA offers (especially with the 3X). I can do more with the 2MOA than you can do with the 4MOA. While under stress I am sure folks will forget to turn up the intensity to make the dot bloom. The 2MOA will still function just fine in this situation (don't loose anything IMHO). C4 |

I cannot tell ANY difference in speed between my ML2 and my M3 2moa
But I can tell a difference in the precision of the shot at longer distances. 2MOA works perfect for me. |

I agree for distance shooting a 2MOA would be better than a 4MOA but I do not look at an Aimpoint as a distance shooting optic I look at is as for speed and will do ok out to 400 yards. The EoTech is outstanding to me it is the fast sight out there plus it has a 1MOA center dot for placing good accurate shots. If it was a 2 MOA w/ a 3x Magnifer then I see it as a distance shooting optic. This is way I love ACOGS so much you get a TA31’s or the TA11’s and they do good for CQB and distance shooting.
