Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Anyone mounting an EOTech on the railed forearm?

I just picked up 552 and I mounted it on the Surefire rail system. I know this system does not free float and is not the same height as the reciever but it does cowitness with the BIUS. I do have a flat top with a YHM BUIS but I like the optic mounted in the most foward position because my eyes seem to pick up the reticle faster/better. The rail is extremely tight and it does not move. Does anyone see any draw back to mounting it where I have it? TIA

the only drawback is if it moves, i like mine on the handguard also

Okay thanks, I put it on the last rail of the reciever just to avoid any problems.
