Do your self a favor and sell the RRA TCH (which is neither tactical or a carry handle). By using it, you are forcing yourself to you use a mount that is ok at best. You will get no repeat zero capability, add unnecessary weight to the weapon and cannot use a 3X Magnifier or NV device (mounted behind it). You are also stuck with a fixed BUIS and cannot change it. These are just my opinions, but I have owned the TCH and know what the benefits are of ditching it.

Very well said and I agree completely.  Just because you (IMHO) made a bad purchase of that cheesy handle doesn't mean you have to stick with it.  Take the small financial hit of selling that thing they call a handle/rear sight and buy yourself a better optics solution.

Actually, put it on EBAY! You might MAKE some money on it (which is what I did).

The RRA TCH is not the end of the world (is useable). There are just much better options out there...

I like the EOThingy okay.  I have one and do really like it a lot.  However, I'm still probably more of an Aimpoint fan.  

I have an Aimpoint in a LaRue Tactical mount and one still riding in an ARMS 22M68 with the canteliver spacer.  The LaRue is a so much better mount, IMHO.  Now, if you go the Aimpoint route and you've got your heart set on the ARMS rig, well, I'll sell you mine and pickup another LaRue.  

If you want a flip-up BUIS, go with the Troy.  It is built like a tank, easy to deploy and the adjustment knob won't accidentally get knocked around, changing your POI.  Very high quality.

For a fixed BUIS you won't beat the LaRue.  No elevation adjustment (which isn't needed on a BUIS, IMHO) to add weight and/or get accidentally get changed.  It is a true quick release - no knobs to torque.  The lever is on the right side to avoid interference with the charging handle.  

If you go the EOTech route, get a AA battery model.  MUCH better battery life than the N battery models, plus you can use lithium batteries.

Best of luck to ya.  Believe me, you will NOT regret the decision to dump the TCH.  

The ARMS mount is the ARMS 22M68.  This mount alone puts the Aimpoint low.  You will need a spacer to put the optic at the correct height.  They sell a full spacer and one that extends the Aimpoint out forward of the rest of the mount.  Some guys like the dot to sit more over the delta ring assembly.

I'll see if I can find pictures, but I know there are a lot of pictures on this board of that exact setup.

I strongly encourage you to look at the LaRue mount though.  My ARMS mount has been okay.  I have used ARMS products that, over time, became loose on the rail.  The LaRue products allow you to tighten the throw lever on the rail.  Thus, you won't ever have a problem with the mount becoming loose.  Also, some upper receiver rails are slightly out of spec.  With the LaRue, you can make the necessary adjustments.

The ARMS mounts are NOT bad, IMHO.  But, I do think the LaRue is an improvement.  They are both quality, top tier mounts.  LaRue is also made in your home state.  

Grant at G&R Tactical can set you up with a quality mount and an Aimpoint.  (But, I'll send you an IM if you're serious about my ARMS mount.  ).  Heck, I've even gotten several BUISs from him too.

LT throw levers are solid billet steel. ARMS levers are MIM. The choice is a simple one for me!

I did send our friend here an IM about my ARMS mount.  I originally made the comment kind of in jest.  Wasn't really planning on upgrading that mount, but if I have an opportunity...  

Like I've already done in this thread, I strongly encouraged Aleko to look at the LaRue mounts.  You will NOT find a better mount.  I have a feeling at least one of us will be ordering a LaRue mount soon.

I don't have any pictures of one mounted with an Aimpoint, but I know someone on this site has pictures.  Hey, have you gone through the picture threads in the AR Discussions forum?  It's tacked at the top in here.  Might see some LaRue pics in there.  It will also help give you some other ideas for your projects.  

Preach it brother!  Coming to this site is a BAD idea if you want to keep any money actually in your wallet.  It's like a den of crack addicts and pushers, except we are ALL the addicts AND the pushers at the same time.  

Regarding the mount, I actually can't decide which I like better.  I started with an ARMS mount using a full spacer.  Then I switched to the canteliver spacer.  I love that setup with the dot a little further forward.  Then I got a standard LaRue mount and love it too.  I'll shoulder my rifle with the ARMS mount and then shoulder the other rifle that wears the LaRue.  I honestly can't decide whether I like the optic more forward or not.  I'm so confused!
