i like the mini acogs,   i want to use an acog on the carry handle in lieu of an aimpoint.

i cannot decide on the power though.  i do not want to have long eye relief. i want to use the standard cheek weld.  its a toss though between the triangle and crosshairs.

what suggestions and pictures do you have?

Ditto.

My TA47-2 is da heat. It's ridiculously fast and easy to use. Outisde of my Aimpoint it's probably the fastest optic I own.

+1 Why would you think you could maintain the same cheekweld? You are changing the sight plane.

The Comp ACOG is not much higher, and it is not bad at all....

Absolutely agree.  For me, the adjustment was minor and not uncomfortable.

i am pretty tall, i do not know if that will make a difference.  i am hoping it will make it easier.

New to acogs myself, what would be a good 2-3x mag for a 16inch barrel chambered in .308?

I mounted a full size ACOG 3.5X35 TA11 on mt new 16" Patrolmans Carbine and am extremely pleased in the fact that I DON'T hafta honker down as the "SLIGHTLY" more upright head position gives me a great BAC system view of things yet I'm still well able to maintain cheek orientation....btw...if you go to towards the top of this page and click on lumpys pinned post concerning BDC and read over Bartholomew Roberts BDC findings you'll be pleased to know that a carry-handle mounted ACOG is pretty much "spot on" out of a 16"er....cool beans there.

Here's mine....

Good luck deciding and L8R, Bill.

I had a 47-6 on my 16" AR10 till I got a TA11 for it.   It rocked....
