It doesn't come with a flat top mount.  Is it supposed to be mounted on the carry handle? What other options are there for the flat top (Colt M4)?

Thanks,
bd

The BDC is calibrated for a flat top, but I wouldn't let that sway you: BDC conversion. The TA31F and TA31RCO models are calibrated for a flat top.

It doesn't come with a mount because you're supposed to buy a LaRue Tactical mount.  Duh!

Yeah, I saw that, but I'm more concerned because in the pictures it looks like it's designed for mounting on the carry handle.  What's the best throw lever mount for this on a picatinny rail? Does it change the cheek weld any?

Thanks in advance.  It's just hard to get my head around some of this stuff without being able to see it and play with it in person.

I guess you didn't see my post above.  You need the ACOG mount from LaRue hug.gif

different acogs are suppose to be used with different setups but it limits your configuration

just mount which ever way you want and then use the bdc chart thats tacked up top.

Thanks for the replies, but I just really want to know if the TA31A is specifically made for mounting on a carry handle instead of a flat top.  I understand there may be aftermarket mounts for a flat top; however, I just want to know if the scope was specially designed to mount on a carry handle.  From the pictures it looks like the mounting "tang" is formed to fit into a carry handle groove. Am I right?

I'm looking for some real help.

Thanks,
bd

Ahhh, the battling dealers.  Free market at its best.

I appreciate the help.

My TA31A is mounted in an ARMS #19S resting on a CMT A3 upper with a Bushmaster 20" fluted Hbar free floated by a Knights FF RAS.  Using Q3131A, the rifle shoots within moa of the BDC calibration out to 400 yards.  Plenty good for me.  YMMV, but do not hesitate one bit mounting the TA31A on a flattop.
