Sorry no pics but... I have a 20" AR10A4 that most of the time has a TA11E sitting in a Larue throw lever mount. Larue makes great stuff and is a great company to deal with. I chose the TA11 to replace my Aimpoint because I was doing mostly longer range shooting but I still wanted teh ability to have a both eyes open/BAC option for close in if needed. I also keep a Leupold Vari-X III Tactical 3.5-10x40 sitting in an Armalite one-piece mount. The Armalite mount is rock solid and returns zero every time. I use this scope when the bolt guys start talking trash.

1. M4gery wearing an EOTech 512 mounted on an LaRue ECOS-C mount. 2. 20" heavy barrel varminter wearing a Super Sniper 10X and LaRue SPR mount 3. 20" HBAR wearing nothing but iron sights. |

14.5" A2 with TA31
A no-brainer for the A2 16" Dissy flatop with TA31F in LT mount Had to have another ACOG, another no-brainer with LaRue Tactical 24" Varminter with Mk 4 rings & Leupold V3 4.5-14X50 Heck of a nice optic setup for the money, no complaints. 14.5",16",18" MRP with 3X Magnifier/Samson QF & Aimpoint M3 2 MOA/ARMS Cantilever mount and also a NF NSX 3.5-15X50 in LT QD rings With it's different barrels the MRP is a do it all platform, so are these two optic setups (again LT a no-brainer). Valmet M-78 .308 with a Leupold 3-9X40 on a totally custom mount. This was 1984, I didn't have a clue but the scope (my first!) is still dead on after all these years. NHM-91 with a PK-A Just did this one (had the rifle since 1993!), simple, rugged, efficient, cheap. Little to no interest on the AK forum, so I think I'll post the picture here for us guys here on the dark side.  |

16" build #1 Burris Fullfield II 3x9x42 with Illumintated Ballistic Plex Reticle in Leupold QD Rings 16" build #2 A2 upper, no optics, gotta have one at least 16" build #3 Accupoint 1.25x4 in LaRue EER mount 16" build #4 Aimpoint Comp C in ARMS 22M68, on an ARMS #38 16" build #5 Bushnell Holosight right on the flat top, ARMS 40L 16" build #6 Currently nekkid, debating what to do...but no $$$ to do it now! 20" build Sightron S1 3x9x40 Mil Dot in Warne High QD rings here' a pic, of some of these setups.

I have a new Armalite A4 with their scope mount. Question? If I take it off it will return to zero when put back on? I might like to slap my eotech on it every now and then.

Tasco 8-32 with adjust from 25 feet to infinity. I picked it because it was cheap, it came with a spotting scope, and I like to see what I am shooting at at 300 yards. My 20" bushy keeps 1.5" groups at that distance, the scope helps.

Leupold VXII 3-9x40 AO sitting in an Armalite 1" 1-piece mount. Sits on top of a RRA NM A4. The mount sits the scope LOW but I like it. MJD

More or less...it almost certainly won't be exact, but it should be close enough for .gov work, as they say. I tested one of mine one day...I *think* it was a set of ARMS rings, and got about 1/4"...which I though was pretty good. |

As far as magnified optics on ARs go...
1. Nikon Monarch UCC 4-12x40 mounted in ARMS 22L rings on a modified (i.e. slightly cut down) SWAN sleeve. This sits on my 20" RRA Varminter rifle. Very accurate. The return to zero is very close to 100%. 2. Leupold Mark IV 3-9x40 mounted in a LaRue SPR mount. Absolutely 100% return to zero. Rock solid mount. This sits on a 20" Bushmaster A3 upper with a Bushy 20" government profile 1:7 barrel. 3. TA-01 in an ARMS 19S. Sits on RRA A3 with a RRA chrome-lined 16" M4-profile barrel. To include other "military style" rifles with magnified optics... 4. Leupold Vari-X II 3-9x40 mounted in ARMS 22L rings on an ARMS FAL dust cover (not sure of the model number). This is all on a DS Arms STG-58. I chose all the products above because they were the best option available at the time for my intended purpose. All of this gear has served me well and I have no regrets about my choices.  |
