I run Troy on my SPR and GG&G A2 flip up on my carbine. They Troy is a great unit. I haven't replaced the GG&G because it is solid, and although it isn't as cool as the Troy, it is just as well built and plenty rugged.

GG&G is steel...  the troy is aluminum...

the gg&g BUIS is great if you want as close to a a2 style buis...   the troy fits the ticket for me since the windage can't be changed by bumps...  something very important to me...

also i was praying that someone would come out with a same plain apeture buis where the demisions where that of the standard a2...  the old ashley xs where huge in comparision to the standard A2...

with both though.. you can't go wrong... don't be like me and when i first came to this site everyone had arms40's... so i thought it had to be the best...

oh... and the gg&g is a lot higher when folded than the troy... so for scopes its really nice too.

Got my Troy rear today from Denny.  It was worth the wait, and I love it!  It's going on my Superlight upper, so weight and size were important to me.
