Went to range today to sight in my new EOTech. I tightened the screw pretty hard, but after about 50 shots, it went loose - I could push it back and forth on the rail. I have a LE6920 and I don't use any other mounting device as the EOTech fits right in.

Anything I did wrong?

Did you use a quarter to tighten the knob?

Which bolt did you use?

The allen head bolt or the slotted one?

i always use the flathead bolt, and i've never had any problem at all with keeping it tight.you are supposed to,when you slide it on,put it on the rail, then push it forward very slightly,as far as it will allow, then tighten it.it should hold very tightly for you.good luck with that, though.oh,and try to use a screwdriver

Yes, I used a quater to tighten it. Maybe I didn't push it forward?

Actually, there's a warning label in EOTech saying not to use Loctite. :-(

Thanks to Tim at Tactical Supplies I will soon be mounting an EOT to a flattop.  I know this is a noob question, but do you put the Blue Loctite on the thread of the mounting screw or the rails of the receiver, and how much

Yeah!  Dont use red loctite!  That is why they put the warning there.  If you use red, you will be cutting the EoTech off.

Blue is cool though.  I run blue on mine with 100% satisfaction and I can remove it too.

Buy a Larue EoTech mount from Grant and blue loctite the EoTech to the mount and remove the mount and scope both as (rarely) needed.

+1 on the La Rue mount..... a must have.

Interesting...I had some replacement screws sent to me a while back, and they came from the factory with loc-tite on them.
