Which way is the correct way to mount the all in one piece 1" high rise scope mount. Do you mount it with the base screw heads towards the forward assist or on the safety side. I mounted them both ways but  I am trying to see which way   is correct.

Passgas,

I have tried both ways and I perfer the knobs on the safety side.  If you install with the knobs on the forward assist side, it looks like the knobs may interfer with the brass ejection.

Any way you want, but I always do mine with knobs on the left.  If you do it that way, you will get about 1/3 of an inch more forward placement of the scope being possible.  I know someone posted here last year who used an Armalite mount backwards to move the eye of an IOR M1 scope back a bit.  Eye relief on those is really short, and he wanted to get his face away from the charging handle.

Mount it the way it works best for you. The knobs will not interfere with ejection. I had mine mounted with the knobs over the ejection port, so that I could push the scope further forward.
