Good question.
They do go down pretty low, but in pitch dark I think it would still be too bright. Course, maybe a guy with NV will chime in  WIZZO |

someone posted pictures of their 512 with NV, and it looked OK.

not usable with Gen 1 or 2 NVG but possible with Gen 3 stuff.
