Mongo,
I tried one on for size... it is a very well designed scope. the reticel is very fast to acquire. the illumination is not bright enough for day time use so you can't really use it as a red dot but during day time, the retidle seem to be fast enough for combat work.
The scope is compact enough to sit on top of an AR and it is very clear with nice clarity around the edges. I have tried the S&B short dot but it is so freaking clear, it is almost unnatural....
The only gripe on the MRT 1.5-5 is the 1.5 power for CQB, it does throw you off a bit but if you it for a bit, you just get use to it.
I think in my amature opinion, it is a very nice alternative to the much more expensive short dot.
I am adding one to my SPR.. I had my TA31 on my SPR for the longest, but now it is being moved to my new KAC URX2 and I think the M2 MRT will fit just fine on top of my SPR with a mid #22 throwlever.
