Hi all,
I have an AN/PVS-2 with the M-16A2 style mount, which I am a big fan of due to the fact that I can look through the device with my left eye and look down the irons with my right without sacrificing my natural night vision. I am thinking about getting a flattop upper, but mounting such a massive device on a detachable carry handle seems precarious to me. Will this put undue strain on the weapon, or affect my zero in any undesirable way? Is there a specific manufacturer that makes a carry handle that would be best suited to supporting such a load? Or should I just leave the PVS-2 where it is and get a smaller device when I get the flattop? Thanks for your input.

Was doing a search on the AN/PVS-2 and saw your question.  There is a flat top mount for the optic made by Elcan.  A google search should turn one up.
