I am looking for something to mount on an M1A with a scout mount.

I like the whole concept, but I just don't have much to choose from.

I'd like to see something like the scope you guys are designing for Muller.

Can you guys let me know of any good scout scopes, with eye relief in the 9" range?

Thanks

well what are you looking for?
i think bushnell may have what you want.
you can allways go red dot.
some simmons pistol scopes will work.  (i have one in 2X 20mm? on my scout).

Would be PERFECT, it just needs more eye relief.

I was thinking about the new tri-power when it comes out.

It's also the scope used on the Steyer Scout Rifle. All that hype aside, I have had a Leupold Scout 2X M8 Scope on my original "Scout Rifle" ( M700, 18" barrel, Ghost Ring Back Up Iron Sights, Ching Sling etc.) for 8 years and 3,000+ rounds without any problem. It is the quickest Hunting Scope out there IMHO, but the design was to accomodate "2 Legged Game". At least that was what I was told at the Leupold factory in Portland, OR.

Jeff Cooper himself was on the design team for this scope.

Tack

I have a leopold 2x scout scope on my 45-70 SS Guide gun and it's superb! Being low power you can bring up the gun to eye level with both eyes open and put your crosshairs on target . With the 10" of eye relief I do not worry about "Scope Eye" during recoil from 405 grian bullets at nearly 2000 fps.
Burris also make some excellent scout scopes

There's no such thing as a "good scout scope".

Seriously, everyone I know who tries the concept eventually goes back to conventional scopes. There's a reason the concept hasn't caught on.
