The 4200's are very hard to beat and can't be for the same money. I've got two 4200's and two 3200's. I like them better than Leupolds (vari x III), Nikons, Weavers and Burris scopes I've owned.

Very nice for the money, but make sure the Model you get has enough adjustment for the distance you plan to shoot. Some are very limited...LL....

I like the Bushnell but I like the Burris and Nikon more! Nikon would be the one I would choose.

Love my 6.5-24 4200 series mildot!!!!
Clear enough to see the NRA target pasters at 200, AO does not have to be right on for a decent view if you chose to hunt with it and need to get a target fast, very repeatable knobs. Be warned it is about 18" long. 1000yd guys bitch about not enough clicks available to use the center cross hair that far away, but a non-issue for me. If you are coming to BulletFest next month, you can test drive mine. |

That settles it. 6.5-24 4200 Mildot for me. I have a 3200 4-9X-50 that has about 800 rounds under it from my savage .223 I wonder how much I could get for it? BulletFest? Whats the lowest price in the mildot?

Swift?
 I have four Bushnell Elites, two 4-16x50 4200s. a 6-24x40 Mildot 4200 and a 10x40 3200. I am very happy with all of them. The 6-24 is a tad long. The glass in the 4200s is superior to the Leupold index matched. To bad they don't make a tactical version of the 4-16 4200 with more MOA range and exposed turrets. The 6-24 only has about 26MOA total elevation adjustment. That leaves you with 13MOA without a canted base.  But sufficient on my 22-250. |

Obviously if you ever compared the two side by side you could have saved yourself some money, but then again they are not a highly marketed scope. I went shopping for a Bushnell,but comparing the Swift side by side at range(300 meters) the Swift has BRIGHTER and CLEARER optics. I wasn't sure if it would take a beating but now that it has been on a .300 Win mag for nearly 500 hundred rounds with lossing zero I'd say it is a winner. |

I don't own one, I have read personal accounts on the Swift Premiers that have spanned from good to bad. The consensus is that the optical quality is great but there have been allot of returns for tracking problems and/or changes in POI. I think the 4200 are a exceptional line of scopes. If were going to compare to scopes costing less, one could throw Sightron into the mix as well. There is also allot of good press on the Muellers, however I don't think they make anything with magnification beyond 16x. |
