Does anybody use these on their AR-15 and what is your opinion?  How did you mount it, and any unexpected problems, etc.?  I'm building a target/varmint rig for range fun and future prarie dog hunting and I want a decent scope on it.  I've never used Mil-Dots before, what does that do for you?  I like the idea of fixed power, and parallax adjustments.  I see there is a good amount of discussion on the Bushnell Elite 3200 & 4200 vs. SS in other topics, but they were geared more toward bolt actions.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks, MJD.

Here is a Super Sniper 16x with the LaRue mount on my AR. It works great, but for the kind of shooting I do, a 10x would have been better.

One thing to note with this mount, it would not clear a #40L with the Butler Creek flip up cap on the scope. If you use this setup with a BUIS, i recommend the Troy BUIS. It is low enough to clear the scope easily. Here is a closer look:

I also had trouble with the SS clearing the GGG standard BUIS...  You may want to look at getting a low profile BUIS since the back of the scope is so fat.  Pretty decent scope, especially factoring in the price!

It should clear a KAC 300m Buis as well...very low profile.
