By Friday I should have A Stag lower/ DPMS upper togeather and needing optics for aging eyes and being impercunious I'm going to try to use what I have onhand.  My H-Bar is set up with Loopie base,high Weaver rings and a DPMS/Cherokee cheekpiece is not beautiful but it is quite workable.  My two scopes I'm considering are a nib 21/2 loopie or an ancient K1.5.  Has anyone tried such a combination.  I'm thinking of using Weaver low or super low rings and skiping the built up cheekpiece.  Has anyone tried such a set up.  Any insight or suggestions would be welcome.
