Is the bushnell holosight and eotech holosite made by the same people?  They are almost identical in shape and controls.  Possibly holosight is a lower end eotech?

Any info?

not really a lower-end version.  it's missing the thick steel aluminum shroud and isn't waterproof as the 551 & 552, but it works the same way- same quality and accuracy, shockproof too...

The shroud is aluminum, not steel.  Also, every Holosight is waterproof to 10 feet for an indefinate period of time, just like the EOTechs.  The exception is the 550 series EOTechs, which are rated waterproof to 33 feet for 2 hours.
