I've tried to research but can't find anything on the ACOG TA55.How would it work as a SHTF AR? Can anyone give me some imput on the best uses of this optic?   Sniper2003

When I talked to a Trijicon rep at RM3G last year, I seem to remember him saying the only large .mil consumer of the 5.5x ACOG was a navy unit that used them for a machinegun sight.

For what it is, I'd rather have a SPR-style scope, for reasons we've discussed in other threads.

When I looked at them the only positive about it was it could double as a baseball bat.

It works well on a multi-use 24" 1/8 or 1/7 type of AR.
