When standing in a well-lighted area and looking into a dark area I get a red-line nearly down the center of the optic.  It's offset from center slightly  opposite the direction of the projector/diode/whatever housing.  Everything in that 1/3 or so is shaded slightly red, the line itself being the most pronounced.  Aimpoint M2 on/off didn't matter and it didn't get brighter when adjusting brightness.  It's not a scratch.

Is this normal?

I think it's some kind of reflection off the front lense when light is shining through the Aimpoint from the rear.  Can anyone confirm if this is normal?

Sometimes if I hold the Aimpoint just right, I see a red reflection when looking through my Aimpoint. (on or off)

Yes, this is normal. I sent two of them back to SWFA before I relized that is the norm. -Justin

Strange. I do not see that in mine. It is "overbright" in the dark with the sight maxed out, but there is nothing like you described. Somewhere on the aimpoint website there is FAQ that advises you on how to verify if your sight is messed up or your eyes are funny.

Try this...scroll down till ya find it.
