OK i have a great rifle and a great scope,  the question is how am i to connect them?  i see rings from anywhere from 40 to 240,  whats the diffrence. I have an armailite one piece scope mount,  will this suffice for  an ar10 with ARMS SIR?  i am leaning toward a one piece from US Optics or the QD set from arms any info would be great

The armalite mount may be too high if you've got the SIR.  The ARMS rings should work great for your purposes.
