Having never seen either of these items before, what is the probability that you could snag the latch while stumbling through some brush and have the sight or mount come off?  I know this is probably a strange question to some, but stranger things have happened.  I really like the design of these items and want to know if they are very reliable, or if I should consider other options.

Thanks.

Unless you have the throw levers set WAY too loose, it shouldn't be a problem.

Very reliable is an understatement.  It's the best there is.

Thanks for the good info.  Between that and Grant's answer about the LMT BUIS, I think I've finally sifted my way through the multiple choices to my final answer.
