The Bushmaster unit is not a bad unit, but it is somewhat overpriced compared to others on the market in my opinion. For a little extra I think you can get a sight thats a lot better. The Bushmaster one uses tension from the small size allen screw being tightened. Something like the ARSM #40 is only slightly more money and clamps on to the receiver, in addition it is spring loaded and cant be knocked down accidentally.

The Bushmaster rear flip up sight is 75.00. It locks in both the down and up positions, and uses two allen screws to secure it to the flat top upper. I have one on my personal carbine, and 5 on our department carbines. I've been very impressed with them, and they are very well built. It's made by YHM for Bushmaster. Hope this helps.
 They work with the standard front sight.
