Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Are Aimpoint Lens Caps Removable?

I really am not crazy about the cheap looking lens caps on the Aimpoint.  Are they removable and if so are they difficult to get off?

Having never owned a "red dot" type device and I have asked this once before, but is the Aimpoint any better than the Nikon VSD red dot style aiming device.  If it has the typical Nikon quality, I am sure it is good.

Yep they're removable, in my experience I have to twist it loose a bit before it'd budge and come out.
