Hello everyone. I have had my Aimpoint Comp ML2 and the Larue single ring mount for the optic for about 3 months now. I would say I have taken the mount off about 150 times during that period. Not really alot. Its mounted to a Bushmaster M4. I have noticed that each time I go to the range with it, the scope is off by a few inches at 25 yards. I usually shoot from a sandbag rest, but even with the rest the shots are off a few inches. Now I know I can adjust the scope each time, but it really sucks because thats why I went with the Aimpoint instead of the TacPoint and the LaRue instead of some cheaper mount. Could it be the fact that I didn't put locktite on the screw? Or maybye I am just not supposed to be taking the mount off of the gun? Thanks for your time.

Thats taking the mount off close to twice a day every day for three months. Not that I think this is the problem... but that is actually quite a bit.

Duke, the last time I went shooting the POI was up and to the left by about 1.5 inches.

Couple questions for your. Take the mount off your weapon. Does the Aimpoint move at all in the mount (really try and twist and pull it). Next mount it back on the weapon. Can you push the mount forward or pull it back? If the answer is yes to the first question then you didn't tighten the bottom screws first when you mounted the Aimpoint. If the answer is yes to the second question then you don't have the throw lever tight enough. If the answer is no to both questions then your Aimpoint might be broke.....

Ok, guys I found a slight (I mean SLIGHT) bit of play between the aimpoint and mount. I remember having to reinstall the sight when i first got it, so I think I just didnt tighten it enough. I'm tightening it up and going to the range right now.

Make sure to degrease the TORX screws the nuts they go into (rubbing alcohol should work). Then screw the bottom screws in first and then the top ones. Make sure to use the blue loc tite that came with the mount.
