The one with red illumination is the TAO1. If I'm correct it was made for the carry handle and you have to buy a mount for it to go on a flattop. Now the TAO1NSN model has the yellow center illuminated, the BUIS on top and has the flat top mount built in. Look for both on the EE.

that is correct, i am looking for a TA01 w/ carry handle mount. i'm just curious to see where people ordered theirs from online before i browse the exchange.

I bought mine from SWFA back in 2000 on a sale they had for $530 as I recall. I don't think you'll find that price now but SWFA is a good outfit. Riflescopes.com is their site as I recall.
