Is it worth buying? or should I wait for a BAC model to become available? I am sorry for the dumb questions I am just very new to this type of scope and need some good advice, I have heard this model is not good for close range and is better for far, but then again I am not sure thanks

It all depends on what you want the scope for.  For standard range duty the NSN is fine.  For 3 gun matchs or run and gun shooting it would not be my first choice.
